Tilley Twinkle Trotter’s trip to Cornwall

Tilley Trotter managed to expertly navigate herself down to Truro sleeping in the from passengers footwell only popping her periscope up for the odd sweet.

Saturday morning and we went to Perranporth Beach for Tilley to have her first dip in the sea for 2010. As you would expect she went aboslutely nuts for a short period, laid a trade mark cable and then continued to go nuts. See the video below of her

Sunday morning after much persuasion managed to get the pinkster out of her nest and went to Kynance Cove see below.

It was a bright sunny morning and surprisingly warm for a day in January. See the video below of Tilley Trotter partaking in a little surfing.

From China to Bangkok

Hi guys,

Well, this has been quite a trip – and only at the end in Bangkok have we got a decent internet connection (and it’s free!!)

Very brief summary of where we have been after Beijing:

Shanghai - more western than Beijing, with Neon lit skyscrapers surrounding Chinese temples.
Okinawa (Japan) – the people here are so polite and respectful, they’re wonderful.
Taipei (Taiwan) – very green island – cos it rains a lot!
Hong Kong - very busy and bustly and modern and western with Chinese influence everywhere. Had some smashing Dim Sum here!!!
Nha Trang (Vietnam) – a seaside town with a fantastic market and beach. Cycles and mopeds everywhere – but this is just preparing us for HCMC……..
Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) – wow. A city of 11 million people and 7 million mopeds – and we think we saw most of them! Crossing the road is an experience. A near death experience! But we survived and on to….
Singapore - Fabulous city! we both wanted to spend more time here. Singapore Slings in Raffles and, er, Singapore beer in other places Our driver Tony was excellent on our Mercedes tour of the city!!!!
Bangkok - Night markets, ladyboys, knock off DVDs/Watches/Glasses etc. Grantus – you would love “IT City” a huge shopping mall full of everyhting gadgety!!! And we still have 2 days to go….

As another day goes by, another feed bowl gets trashed by the dobbins (second of the week) so out some the tools once again to re-attach the hook.

Just a very quick one here, not sure what the Bagshaw’s have been teaching Nelly or what they deem acceptable but as the photo below shows is Nelly trying unsucessfully to “Lady Bum” Tilley Trotter much to her displeasure.

Out and about

Once again the girls have been out and about exploring but as much as Diane tried Nelly refused to get in the same picture I think it might be that she was embarressed to be seen with her. Well that is an impressive bit of slobber.

Beijing Review – Part 1

Hi all,
Well, we’ve finally got access to a PC that seems to work….. Firstly, big thanks to Grantus and Di for looking after Darth and, ahem, her little ways……. sorry about the mess!

Beijing is quite amazing. It’s huge and sprawling and also smoggy/hazy most of the time. We spent the first day at Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, which are very amazing. Havent seen so many peoplein one place. We also spent the second day climbing a part of the Great Wall of China. Wowzers! The Chinese are very nice people. Abd very small – har har!

I also took me darlin to a famous nightmarket in Beijing (Wanfujing Street( to see the street sellers serving up various meat, crawfish, birds, scorpions, bugs, snakes, and seahorses (yes, really! on skewers ready for barbequing. I did eat something from them, but me darlin will have to tell you about this. I would upload piccies for you but need to find an internet cafe with USB ports available.

Yesterday we had a long day first at a Temple in Beijing and then a longdrive to the port to board the boat. Took ages, but we finally got onboard at 7pm ish. Slept in today, as have 2 days at sea before Shanghai.

A day without a suprise to come home to

It seems that it has been a pretty uneventful day, well to put it another way there wern’t any nasty surprises to come home to. The girls had been out exploring once again but Tilley was a little concerned that Nelly’s little legs couldn’t keep up as she kept on stopping and looking behind. Part way round the walk it started tipping it down so the girls got dropped back off at home but not before having a rub down with a towel.

Day four and busted again!

The girls were left in the kitchen after going up to the farm to sort out the horses and a quick walk. Breakfast was as usual gobbled down at a pace but it looks like someone was after a little more. Diane came in later in the day to find that someone (Darth the vegetarian!!!) had taken it upon herself to shred the rubbish bag that that was hung on the side, she obviously fancied some potato pealings and leek trimmings.

Diane very kindly tidied up the kitchen and took the woofers out for a walk, but Nelly couldn’t be persuaded to go for a little swim or a paddle.

Question is what is going to happen on tomorrow

Second – Sharing Evening

Last night tilley trotter was was overlooking Darth while eating. Tonight they decided to get into the same basket together.

I finished work early this afternoon and came home to find Darth sat on the back of the sofa watching the going ons in the street, but got busted! Sal is this something you have been teaching Darth?

Darth’s First Night

Darth was delivered this morning complete with a bag of supplies, operators manual, two baskets and more rugs than you can shake a stick at. The operators manual (see below) is crammed full of useful information including telephone numbers of the owners with and without the +44 prefix just in case I may have happened to dog nap her out of the country and need to call to let you know. One useful bit of information missing from the manual (note for next time ) was the amount to feed Darth and how often so I’ll have to play this by ear.

So after reading the manual and not being able to work out the amount of food required took a best guess and added a little water, then put them down. Tilley Trotter gut bucket managed to neck hers down at top speed and then sheepishly watched over darth to see if she left any.
